Psychotherapy, often referred to as "talk therapy," is a collaborative process between you and a trained mental health professional. It offers a confidential, safe space for you to openly express your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Through psychotherapy, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the patterns or behaviors that may be causing you distress. It's a journey of personal growth and healing that can help you navigate life's challenges more effectively.
Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or life transitions, psychotherapy can provide the support you need. Different methods can be used to suit your unique needs, such as cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, or psychodynamic therapy.
I offer psychotherapy sessions to individuals and couples, tailored to your specific circumstances and goals. If you're ready to take the first step towards improving your mental health and overall well-being, consider booking a session today. It's an investment in yourself, and you're worth it.

Psychotherapist: Psychotherapists are professionals who help people talk through their feelings to improve their mental health and well-being. They use different techniques to support their clients. In Ontario, only registered members of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) can call themselves "Registered Psychotherapists".
Psychologist: Psychologists have advanced training in understanding the mind and behavior. They can diagnose mental health problems and provide treatment, often through talk therapy. They can also do special tests to understand a person's problem better.
Psychiatrist: Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in mental health. They can diagnose mental health problems, provide therapy, and prescribe medications.
While all three can provide therapy, only psychologists and psychiatrists can diagnose mental health problems, and only psychiatrists can prescribe medication. The best choice depends on your needs. If you're ready to improve your mental health, consider booking a session today.

My hourly rate for individual therapy services is $150 and $180 for couples. While I understand that investing in therapy is a significant decision, it's important to remember the value this investment brings to your mental health and overall well-being. I also accept insurance from Desjardins, Green Shield Canada, Manulife, and SunLife.
The cost of therapy not only covers the time spent in session, but also a myriad of behind-the-scenes activities. This includes continuous professional training to ensure I provide the most effective therapeutic techniques, session preparation, case management, and maintaining strict confidentiality and professional standards. Moreover, the cost also contributes towards maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for our sessions, whether it's in-person or virtual.
Please remember that therapy is a valuable investment in yourself, a stepping stone towards achieving greater self-understanding, resilience, and a more fulfilling life. If you're ready to take this important step, I encourage you to schedule a free consultation today.

Yes, psychotherapy is often covered by many insurance plans in Canada. You'll need to check the specific details of your individual insurance policy to find out the extent of the coverage.
We have been approved by Desjardins, Green Shield Canada, Manulife and SunLife. If you have an extended health benefits plan, it may provide coverage for services delivered by a Registered Psychotherapist or a Registered Social Worker. You can usually find this information in the policy details, or you can contact your insurance provider directly to get the information.
As a psychotherapy clinic, we don't directly accept or reject specific insurance companies.
Instead, we provide a receipt for the services rendered, which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
